Judgement Day 2004 Review
Judgement Day 2004 took place on May 10th from Los Angeles. As a Smackdown produced ppv it featured only the Smackdown roster. Cole and Tazz serving commentary.
Match #1
Tag Team Match
The Dudley Boyz Vs Rob Van Dam And Rey Mysterio
D Von cheapshots RVD so Bubba can take control. RVD fights back with a dropkick and monkey flip out of the corner and sends both Dudleyz to regroup. Somersault plancha onto both and Rey follows suit. Dudleyz miss something and RVD maintains control. Bubba cheapshots and RVD gets beat on the floor. He tags Rey and Bubba beats him up quickly. Rey comes back with a headscissors and sets up Bubba for the 619, but D-Von breaks it up. A rana is countered with a stungun by Bubba. Bubba gets a suplex. D-Von switches in and chokes Rey. Rey comes back with bulldog, and it’s hot tag RVD, but the ref misses it so Rey gets beat on some more. Bubba with a spinebuster for 2. Bubba puts Rey in the tree of woe and works him over, but Rey gives him some kind of weird face plant and tags RVD. Rolling thunder on Bubba for 2. Pier six errupts and the Dudleyz go whazzup but Rey saves and Rey gives Bubba the bronco buster. Rob springboards Rey into a top rope rana on D-Von that gets 2, nice. The faces set up the Dudleyz for a double 619 and RVD with a five star frog splash on D-Von at 15:06ish. Standard Smackdown tag but got interesting at the end. 2 1/2 stars.
Kurt Angle is brought out in a wheelchair and blames Torrie Wilson for Big Show throwing him off a 20 foot balcony and breaking his leg and leaving a pool of blood where his head hit the cement. The end result was that Show and Angle both stayed heel and Angle is NOT DEAD. So he makes the next match as punishment.

Torrie Wilson Vs Dawn Marie
A year and a half later, it sucked just as much as their Rumble match and the idiots don't even acknowledge that Dawn fkd Torries dad into a heart attack and killed him. So they treat it as basically a first meeting and Dawn is jealous of Torrie or some ****. Torrie wins a slopfest at 6:10 with a crappy backslide. DUD!!!

Scotty 2 Hotty Vs Mordecai
99% squash for Mordecai. He wins it with a razors edge at 2:59. 1/2 star, just to be nice.

Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match
Rico And Charlie Haas w Jackie Gayda Vs Billy Gunn And Hardcore Holly
The first 3 or 5 minutes is a comedy stallfest. As neither Gunn or Holly wanna face Rico because they are "homophobes", but whenever they do get in there they are sexually harrassed by Rico so how does THAT make them the badguys? Haas finally gets in there with Holly and Holly wins a lockup and Haas gets an armbar. Also, the idiots on commentary do not even acknowledge that Gunn and Rico EVER had any history. Gunn should still be pissed because he never did get revenge for Rico and 3 Minute Warning leaving him laying at the altar along with Chuck, I guess it never happened. Rico's got the whole stereotypical fruitty act down. Rico feels up Billy and Holly ignores the tag. Rico takes Billy down and does that bull riding bit of his and uses the kick combo in the corner. kick combo in the corner. Haas in next and he gets worked in the corner. Tazz and Cole make an assinin remark about how "rare" an opportunity it is for The Undertaker to be on a ppv show. Holly dropokic for 2. Gunn and catches Haas with a boot in the corner on a blind charger, and Holly gets his punt kick on the ropes for 2. Holly goes up and jumps off into a foot and Haas hottags Rico who is the pissed off gay man!! Atomic drop on Billy, but he gets the fameasser and Haas saves after a blind tag and gets a german suplex, Gunn makes a tag right away and Holly goes for the alabama slam, but Rico superkicks him into a Haas rollup for the pin at 9:59ish. 2 stars.

Cruiserweight Championship Match
Jaquelyn Vs Chavo Guerrero Jr w Chavo Sr
THIS is the point in which the WWE cruiserweight title died for me. They let Jaquelyn go over Chavo then she would lose the belt back to him then she left the company the following week, more long term planning I guess. Chavo has to wrestle with one hand tied behind his back but of course Chavo Classic unties the already loose rope so Chavo can use his gory bomb at 4:50 to win the belt back. Garbage. DUD!!!

John Cena Vs Rene Dupree
They fight on the floor then Dupree works Cena in the corner. Cena sends Dupree to the other corner and misses a cross body and hits the floor. Dupree pounds away on him and brings him back in and a backbreaker for 2. Dupree bearhug and Cena breaks and they punch it out. Cena clothesline and shoulderblock, into the sideslam, but he misses the five knuckle shuffle. How much damage can missing THAT move cause? Dupree gets a spinebuster to set up the stupid french dance and Cena gets hit with a ddt. Cena comes back with the FU, which Dupree reverses into a neckbreaker for 2. Cena blocks a sunset flip for 2. Backslide gets 2. Dupree tries an alleyoop out of the corner, but lands in the FU and it’s over at 9:48. 2 stars.

Singles Match
The Undertaker Vs Booker T
Booker attacks and gets pounded down. Booker comes back with a back kick, but walks into a sideslam. Taker drops a leg for 2, and clotheslines him to the floor. Booker comes back in with a missile dropkick for 2. Taker slugs back. Also, Booker has been doing crappy voodoo skits for the past month to help him beat Taker. Booker misses the sidekick and Taker gets the flying clothesline, setting up "oldschool". Flatliner and halfnelson choke, but Booker makes the ropes. Taker tries the last ride but Booker gets away. Ref goes down and Booker throws some grave dirt in his face but Taker shruges it off. Taker misses something and crotches on the middle rope and Booker attacks the leg. Outside Booker whips Taker to the steps and back inside. Taker fights back but Booker stops it with an axekick for 2. Taker comes back with the chokeslam, and the tombstone finishes at 11:25. 2 stars. Kinda boring.

Smackdown Championship match
Eddie Guerrero Vs John Bradshaw Layfield
So the plot here is JBL caused Eddie's mom to have a heart attack.
They fight outside. Back inside, JBL runs and gets rammed into the post as a result, and Eddie keeps hammering. Back in, Eddie slugs him down, and JBL again bails. Eddie slugs him down again and gives him the boot rake. Back to the floor again and Eddie eats steps. Back in, Eddie walks into a big boot. Elbowdrop gets 2 for JBL. He whips Eddie into the corner and goes to a headlock. He knocks Eddie down and goes back to the headlock. Crisscross (been a couple of years and Eddie gets the armdrags, and Bradshaw bails again, so Eddie follows with a pescado, which is blocked and countered into a fallaway slam. Eddie gets backdropped onto the Spanish table. Back in, JBL with a neckbreaker for 2. Eddie dropkick into the rolling verticals, but it’s broken up with a knee. JBL goes for a powerbomb, but Eddie escapes, and bumps the ref. Bradshaw gets sent outside. Eddie tosses him into the announce table, but he grabs a chair and waffles Eddie with it, and Eddie is BLEEDING BUCKETS!!! It appears to actually be squirting a bit. Bradshaw rams the stairs into his head and sends him back in, JBL gets the clothesline, but the ref is still out. Another ref comes in and Bradshaw gets 2. Another try at the clothesline, but the second ref gets creamed by it, and Bradshaw gives Eddie a powerbomb for 2. JBL goes to a sleeper, but Eddie suplexes out of it and Latino Heat is coming alive!! He slugs Bradshaw down, but walks into a fallaway slam, which he reverses to a DDT in mid move. Eddie tries a frosplash but takes too long and JBL grabs the title and takes a swing, but Eddie goes low and beats the crap out of JBL with the belt to draw a dq win for JBL at 23 minutes in. 2 1/2 stars. Bad finish but Eddie's horrible injury helps keep it up somewhat.
Overall Opinion: Boring mediocre ppv that felt more like a regular Smackdown show. The only thing of interest here was the opening tag and the main event.
Final Score: This show only pulls a crappy 2.8 star rating out of a 10.0 from me
