Level Editor

Has anyone used this yet? Is it easy to use?

reply

There isn't one. I have the PC version and my friend has the XBox version, and there isn't a level editor.

It's a download from Eidos. It doesn't come with the software. I'm still in the dark ages of dial-up so downloading it would probably finish when I was dead.

Do you have a link for where you can download it?

It has been awhile since I worked with zip files but it sounds to me that you have WinZip or something like it. If I remember correctly WinZip does allow you to view zip files without actually unzipping them. If the programmers were kind then one of those files should be the Read Me file which should give instructions. If you do not have this ability it should be safe to extract the files to a temporary folder of your choice and the read me file should be produced. If it instructs you to unzip them into a certain folder in the game itself then repeat the process. There are two things you may want to try before you do that. Go to the IMDB video game boards and pose this same question to a new thread there or go to www.eidos.com, select the country, (though I think the editor was on the USA site) select the game, and you should then have a link to the Thief message boards. There may be information there. I hope this helps. The read me file should be a .txt file (possibly .pdf)and will be much much smaller than the actual program.

This should help, though it seems more complicated than it should be.
