Simple survey: Who do you think could best play Garret

I know I have raised this before, but this is the last time. Short and to the point.

I can see a bunch of actors for the role of Garret, and from different backgrounds.

The actor needs to be tallish, lean, of a health muscular build. Not Arnold, but not far from Edward Norton in American History X. He needs to have an ability to play dark and enigmatic without overdoing it and losing originality and likability. He is a cynic but observant, watching his enemies move is an important thing, but the audience has to be able to see some kind of active thinking to remain involved. I would say Garret is in his mid-30s, not any older than 37. Dark-hair, dark-features, and an unusual, dark-handsomeness. Of course, the actor playing would need to be agile without exchanging depth as a portrayer. To me, he is a mixture of Robin Hood, Christian Bale's Batman, Snake Plisskin, and Clint Eastwood's The Man With No Name from the Leone westerns, in attitude.

Adrien Brody was one of my first choices. Some say he has a geeky look, but I think he is a very charismatic, consummate professional. He played a very good heroic lead in King Kong, a thoughtful heartfelt fugitive in The Pianist, and a haunted man in The Jacket. He is but one choice. Others include, and for similar reasons: Guy Pearce, Martin Csoskas, Karl Urban, Cillian Murphy, Dougray Scott, Christian Bale, and Ioan Gruffudd. All are effective professionals and are very capable in action-oriented roles. Tom/Tim Olyphant (Deadwood, The Girl Next Door, Die Hard 4, Hitman) is a very decent actor in protagonistic and antagonistic world. He has a natural comic timing, but his performance as Seth Bullock in Deadwood shows he can be a brooding, volatile, but sympathetic protagonist in stand-off type scenes. Garret should be a being from his own world and society, not a modern day dude with a regular world attitude in a fantastic medieval setting. It's probably not worth it. Most video game movies are ulitmately unsuccessful, but there have been a few hear and there worth notice.
