Should be recognized through a cult status.

This game to me was a great experience. I can understand as to why people would claim it to be a bad game, but it actually isnt. It was fun playing predator, getting to mutilate and kill people in the ways predators have seen to kill. It told a great story too, which would make for a great movie adaptation. I loved and still love this game, and I hope one day it gains a significant following to achieve cult like status, even though it's been 8 years since it came out. Still, great game.

I think part of what keeps it from being a "cult hit" is that it was ludicrously difficult. Keeping vital energy from being easily replenished, throwing drone after drone after drone after drone after drone after drone at you in the later levels--that wasn't fun. I didn't actually have fun with the game until I sid to hell with it and cheated to get infinite energy. Only then could I play how I wanted to--invisibly stalking my chosen prey, herding them where I wanted them to go, scaring them more and more until I leapt onto them and snatched them up. Before I got fed up, the energy was such a huge concern I couldn't really just sneak around patiently, like the character's species is kind of known for.

The level design wasn't bad at all, especially for the time, but the difficulty was kind of all over the place, made all the worse by the energy issue.
