I mean, I really doubt that we'll be seeing a third Predator movie for a while. Even so, would you consider this game to be a worthy third part to the Predator movies following Predator 2?
well i read somewhere that if avp was in anyway successfull that they would continue the franchises as one (i.e. no more alien, predator. just alien versus predator" but i would love to see the a new alien or predator film done right. i hope ridley or cameron get bak on board. then we know we have a good movie.
Randomly strolling through IMDB in the middle of the night, and came to this admittedly necrotic thread. Still, I thought I'd toss my two cents in.
I honestly would consider this to be a decent Predator 3, as a prequel. Though I'd rework the storyline to not make the protagonist Predator look like such a tool. Yank out him leaving behind so much technology, or at least having anything actually done with what little bit (say, one combistick? Or part of a medipack?) was recovered. Give the Predator an actual reason to hunt through the city and work his way up the ladder of human slime. I mean, I'm sorry, but as presented in the story, I kept wondering just why the hoo-hah the Predator really cared to do everything he did, but oh well.
So, yeah. With a little re-tooling of the plot, I think it would be a very interesting Predator 3. Of course, looking back to this idea from three years later, I realize it will likely never happen. We won't see a Predator-only (or Alien-only, for that matter) movie for a very long time, if ever. The AvP franchise is too strong, I think. Either they'll make more Alien-versus-Predator films, or they won't make any at all.
