This film is an unwitting prequel to...

This film is such a cookie cutter and "by the numbers" exercise
that it qualifies as a prequel to the 1998 Denzel Washington
vehicle, "The Seige." I rented the two together and watched
them in chronological sequence and, sure enough, they're
perfect bookends.

"The War Within" also has a distracting oh so hip lounge music
soundtrack. I kept expecting George Clooney or Brad Pitt to
drop by for a drink. Then I noticed the original music was by
the same guy who scored "Ocean's Twelve." Alrighty, then.
One market niche filled by of one of the 10 movies
executive producer Mark Cuban has slated for release in
the next year or so.

No,it isn't. I haven't seen THE SIEGE, but THE WAR WITHIN is an indie film, it dosen't have that much of a soundtrack, either. There's also nothing "by the numbers" or "cookie cutter" about it---for one thing, when's the last time you saw a Muslim family being depicted as a normal American family and not terrorists for a change? Certainly not in any recent Hollywood films, I can tell you that.
