It's so frustrating, but they always seem to put really good movies like this on TV at ridiculously late hours. Unfortunately I missed out on what started off as a really good movie.

Could someone please tell me how it ends? I saw it up to the part where he is sitting between the elderly Chinese couple on the couch, and has spotted the pretty Chinese girl reading something, behind the Bamboo blind?

You left off pretty early. I would recommend you watch the whole thing.

He agrees to marry the Chinese woman for money. They get married and live together, platonically. But then they fall in love. She dies of an enlarged heart. The end.

I hadn;t finished watching it. Now that I know the ending I'll just send it back to netflix
