Is the Computer voice HAL?

The voice of the computer in this movie is uncredited, at least here on IMDB.com. But it reminds me a lot of HAL on "2001: A Space Oddysey". Any way they could be the same guy, even the movies are about 35 years apart?

I thought they sounded really similar also.

I have no idea, but that's exactly what I thought.

I was hoping they would make a refrence to HAL, but I didn't see one.
