Everything Goes now online!

The short film can now be seen, in several different formats, here:

Scroll down to "Everything Goes" and click on it, then pick your preferred format. I've been looking for this for ages, since I saw it as part of a film festival, and am thrilled it's finally posted where anyone can have a look.

Hugo Weaving and Abbie Cornish have a wonderful chemistry in this, suggesting perhaps if Eucalyptus gets revived she should play Ellen. She's much closer to the age of the original character than Nicole Kidman was. And I'd rather see Hugo play The Storyteller than Roy Cave frankly. ;)

Isn't it a gorgeous little film!

I loved how it depicted the fragility of relationships in such a subtle and moving way. The metaphor of the yard sale was quite a profound touch. The performances by Hugo Weaving and Abbie Cornish were lovely, too.

It's funny and sad at the same time -- a really well made short, I thought...

wombat-48, unfortunately the site you posted no longer has this short film available. Do you have it by any chance? Or do you know of an internet site from where you can dowload it or watch it?

The Hugo Weaving fansite Random Scribblings has a copy:

Unfortunately most of the locations that legally streamed the film online no longer do so. I also have a copy if nothing else works... so far as I know, it's never been released on DVD. which is a pity, because it's a lovely film, much better than the Hollywoodized atrocity (and, I suspect, direct rip-off) Everything Must Go. "Everything Goes" is much truer to the spirit of the original Raymond Carver short story.
