10th Anniversary

This movie opened in theaters on Friday, December 15, 2006, and earlier this month had its 10th anniversary. I know I'm about two weeks late on this, it just slipped my mind earlier, but I would like to acknowledge this because this movie has a certain distinction, and irony, for me. I had lived homeless in Charlotte, NC, near my hometown, from late 1997. Then in December, 2006 I recieved some money and decided to move to Dade County, FL (the Miami area), as I just wanted a change after all that time. I left Charlotte on a greyhound bus early on Friday morning, December 15, traveled south all that day and night, and arrived in Miami early the next morning, Saturday the 16th. I would still be homeless, and moved my things in a storage unit near downtown Miami, then went north on Biscayne Blvd. to Aventura, FL, a small city founded in 1995 that was about ten miles north of downtown Miami. That is where I would actually live while there, and where I would go to the movies. It was at a big AMC theater on the third floor of Aventura Mall, where I would go almost every Friday night while there to see numerous movies. And I started this that Saturday afternoon by going to it to see Charlotte's Web. So it was the first movie I saw at this theater while living there, and its name is the ironic thing, as I had just left the city of Charlotte after over nine years there. I then stayed in Aventura for a little over a year before moving back to Charlotte. I really did not want to do this, but just could not find a job in the Miami area, but I guess it worked out for the best, as in 2010 I got disability income and an apartment in Charlotte (had I been able to find a job in the Miami area I definitly would have remained there). And this apartment included a TV, dvd player, and suscription to netflix, from which I rented out Charlotte's Web to see again one night earlier this year.
