HELP Please!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

Ok I have this game for PC and I love it and all, but something is wrong with the game now. I use to be able to control my worriers by clicking on them and then i could select if i wanted them to be on no attact mode, or guard mode, or those type of modes. But now i click on them and there is just no icons to click on anymore.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

If anyone does could you please post it here, It will help me a lot and I'm sure it could help others with as similar problem like this too.

Around the map, there are some icons.
Try pushig one that says: Turn on advance commands.
It´ll make that type of guards, etc. appear.
If it doesn´t work, I just don´t know how to resolve your problem.

I have a little problem also, I can't build any fire ships, demo ships, or cannon galleons or any unique ships like longship or turtle ship however I can still build galleys and upgrade them all the way and build trade cogs and transports. I can't research anything pertaining to the ships that I can't build either. I am still winning the single player mode with no problems but the multiplayer mode won't work either. Do I have a defective copy of the game? BTW, it's Gold Edition with the expansion pack. Don't tell me to research up to Imperial Age or build a Dock or a Castle lol because I've built every building and researched everything else and it still won't show the icons for the ships. Is this something to make you register or something?

Well, it depends on the race you're using. Have you checked out the technology tree for whatever race you are using? Because chances are good that the ships you want just aren't available with the raceyou're using.

Only 2 races have unique ships and I couldn't get them. I tried every civ and still nothing. It doesn't matter now, I bought Empire Earth 1 and 2 and am happy with them lol. Thanks anyways.

I'm sure you probably figured this out by now, as you posted over 3 years ago...

But I'm bored, so I'm going to try to help anyway...

Keep in mind that some units you cannot build (regardless of your civ) unless you have some stuff upgraded... Blacksmith and University have some chemistry and armor upgrades that HAVE TO BE ACTIVATED before certain "higher level" units can be built/upgraded...

The only unique unit ships belong to the Koreans (Turtle) and the Vikings (Longship). If you are Aztec or Mayan you can have no gunpowder(which explains demo and cannon problem). Just be Spanish.

I tried EVERY civ and still no fire ships. I could use the turtle ships and longships that were already built in the Battles of the Conquerors but I couldn't build them in any game.
Thanks for the help people, I'll be getting Age of Empires 3 when it comes out and I hope it isn't a defective copy also lol.

Do you know how to get to your tech tree? Probably, but anyways, it's in the upper right corner of the screen. There are five buttons. It's the second from the left. Is everything there?

Not only do I know how to open it, I got a pamphlet with the game that has the main tech tree then a list of which civ gets what unit or tech.
Thanks for the help, I don't need help anymore but I still want to know why it won't let me build those ships.

I just bought Rise of Nations Gold Edition and discovered what Empire Earth 2 was a poor takeoff of.
