I agree with both of you.

To me, it kind of feels like they had this great story for introducing him and it didn't really come to anything, so now they are just trying to make him out to be an awkward/argumentative something and it's just landed up being a boring, why are you even there type scenario.

Then they have him chasing after Meredith like a horny teenager. I could see him with Maggie or Amelia, but his "resemblance" to Derek is annoying, because you know they are trying to replace that character.

Henderson is hot though. They just haven't given Riggs any decent character arcs aside from the one with Owen's sister, so he's got no real background, no substance in comparison to the other characters. Makes him harder to warm to.

the story with Owen's sister, was like this "guilt trip" to try to get us to like him. That's what I saw anyways.

I don't like Riggs because he resembles Derek, I dislike Riggs because they want him to be Derek's replacement. It's annoying.

He was pretty convincing in the ambulance when Meredith told him the news. Also, its pretty big of her to be happy for him, because she said she would have been thrilled had Derek been found alive as well.
