Helping back the community by making a torrent, submitting the torrent, and seeding the torrent.

This topic is directed towards being able to use any of your favorite BitTorrent software and MakeTorrent 2. You can download MakeTorrent 2 at: http://krypt.dyndns.org:81/torrent/maketorrent/index.phtml#dl

PLEASE NOTE: MakeTorrent 2 has some issues with some users using Windows XP. If you recieve an error, change the compatibility mode of it to 98/ME. To do this, right click the shortcut or the main .exe file and select properties. Click over to Compatibility tab, and check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"



Once you have Make Torrent 2 installed, start the program. Make sure the Create Torrent tab is active.



Click the down arrow to the left, and browse to what you want to make a torrent for. If it is a single file, browse to it's directory and highlight the file to the right. If you want to share an entire directory (for example, for a music album), select the directory to the left and select All to the right. For this example, we will use a directory to share the album The Ultimate Escape by Tsunami Bomb. Down a little bit, you will see a box titled Tracker. This is where you will enter in your tracker announce URL. Torrent Maker 2 comes with some preset trackers. I highly recommend using Pirate Bay's.



When you are satisfied, click Create .torrent now! Name the torrent and click save. When it finishes making the torrent, simply hit Finished.



Now, in order to share your torrent, you must first seed it. To demonstrate, we will use BitLord, but you may use any BT client you wish. First copy the files you made the torrent with (the files to be shared, not the the torrent file) to your BT's download folder. Open up your torrent inside your BitTorrent client. You will get a screen like this:



Click the down arrow where it says Task: and select seed. Remember, no one can download the files if you do not seed them! This is absolutely vital! Now click okay and it will begin to seed your torrent. It will probably say connecting to the right in the status column. That is fine, leave it that way.

Now for others to find your files, you must submit your .torrent file to a torrent site. Go to a torrent site (like 2torrents.com) and login. Click on the button that says Submit File. It will bring up a submission page where it lets you upload your torrent, name it, select a category for your torrent and add a description. When you have filled it out, hit upload!

Please remember, it may take a long time for others to find your torrent and begin downloading. You must keep seeding your files or no one will be able to download them and it will become a dead torrent (and no one likes that!) It is recommended to keep seeding your files for several days if not weeks until it becomes very active and stable on it's own. Just leave your BT Client (and computer!) on for a long time and wait for others to begin downloading.

If you could upload the episodes to youtube great. This would make it really easy for others to view them. It's preaty simple all you have to do is regeter for a free account and follow the instructions. Or if you want them to be downloadable for other people you could use rapidshare.de. These are better then bittorrent becuase you don't need any specific softwart. For rapidshare just go to "rapidshare.de" press browse select the file and press upload. Then post the adress they give you on here. I would be really greatful if you would upload the episodes. I love this show and really want to re-watch it.

Please upload it somewhere other than youtube!

Torrents is a great idea in my opinion as other people can get the file and help spread this great show. Youtube's been cracking down on this stuff.
