It looks pretty cool i guess, but it seems to have kind of a chessy vibe too. I wish Clark would keep collaborating with Harmony Korine, they seem to bring the best out of eachother.

I agree it looks like the warriors and kids. I think it looks cool bunch of friends sticking together having fun getting into trouble.

Trailers aren't necessarily indicators of what movies are really like. It probably wasn't even done by Clark, or even necessarily by someone who's involved in the making of the film. I watched the trailer for KIDS recently and knowing that movie thoroughly I didn't think it reflected the way the film really is. Often trailers are put together by a third party and all editing and music decisions are made my them, which can skew the look of the film. Don't lose hope!

shareI must admit, I enjoyed another day in apardise when I first saw it but it did not stand up to repeat viewings at all, unlike clarks other films (even teenage caveman, I've seen it a few times, with a little substance abuse involved its a chuckle and the cinematography I really like).
apart from the inclusion of Lou diamond philips, I got pretty bored when I watched the movie a second time. Everyone is entitled to their opinions though, I just don't dig it that much.
I thought the trailer looked really good. It didn't really look like a polished TV-movie to me, it still has Clark's rough street-style look. Can't wait to see it.

Another Day in Paradise is one hell of a good movie. Way better than Teenage Caveman. And yes I do understand what Clark was doing in Caveman...I just dont find much entertainment in it.
shareIf Sharon Stone is involved with producing this I'm sure it's not going to be as graphic as Ken Park. But then again Larry Clarke can't make a movie without some young kids getting naked. So I'm sure there will be some. The man makes good movies but they will always be over shadowed if this one seems to exploit the kids like some people feel about his other movies.
He mentions he's using unknowns in this like in Kidz, but based on the trailer (and one of the problems I had with Ken Park) is the unknowns in this trailer and the ones in Ken Park don't seem as talented as the ones in Kidz. When you use new actors if they aren't talented it just makes the movie seem low budget.
