'Were you, like, sad?'

I did not enjoy this movie at all. There were some parts that were kind of entertaining, but they were few. So here are my reasons why I disliked this movie:

1. The dialouge in the movie was horrible. What was Jonothan talking about at the start of the film? "And then...And then...And then...". He sounded like the Chinese lady from Dude, Where's My Car.

2. What was with the guy trying to drown himself in the sink? I understand that some people are suicidal, but it seemed like it was a little melodramatic to me.

3. Ok, I understand that people in South Central (Latinos and Blacks) don't get along for whatever reason. I know this is true, but damn, we're dirty now? The white guys promptly beat their asses but they don't like black people. Another instance of latinos thinking that white people can be trusted more than anyone else. And you see how that turned out. Clint Eastwood look-a-like shot one of then in the head.

4. The white girl was dumb as *beep* "Were you, like, sad?" No bitch, I wasn't sad that someone killed my friend. I was ecstatic.

5. What was that white guy with the braids a gay peophile or what? What was the purpose of that whole scene?

6. Why do black people ALWAYS have to have an attitude? The black girls at the beginning were stank and then the guys at the end had a gun. All black people do not act this way. Not even close. I know my friends and I don't conduct ourselves in that manner. Granted, we don't live in South Central or in any area like it, however, I'm sick of movies always portraying black people like we're uncivilized.

7. Why were they smiling at the end? Two of your friends are gone. One got taken by the cop to jail or wherever and the other one just got shot in the head. What do you have to smile about? Really?

8. The movie just sucked. I wanted to like it, but I didn't.

The movie was pointless

Yeah definitely Clarks worst work Ken PArk was great but he needs to hire people with at least some experience!

"Wassup Rockers" is a 'black comedy.' It is making fun of stereotypes by exagerating them. You can't really expect the characters to act like they would in real life, because this is not a Lifetime channel drama; it is social commentary. People who watch films like this at face value are simply wasting their time; you just didn't get it. I found this to be Clark's most intelligent and mature film. For once he doesn't take the material so seriously, and it works. I didn't like "Bully" because it tried way too hard to be shocking and controversial. I find Bully to be his weakest film, in fact.
