stop hating on a movie that means a lot to some people

this movie basically sums up everything that i deal with being a skater and mexican. i have to deal with cops that sometimes are racist. cops dont really care seeing as how they are the law and they know that you cant do anything about what they say cause no one will believe you. why people hate on this movie i dont know but maybe its cuz they are rich white kids who live in big houses and have mommy and daddy buy them everything they want. to people like me this movie means a lot. so go hate on another scene or movie but leave us alone cuz all you do is make yourself look like a fool. but the gay part was messed up.

It's not that we don't understand or can't relate...it's that the movie was REALLY F$#KING BAD.

That's about all you can say.
Half of it seemed improvised, and its soundtrack was horrible, especially when mixed with skater kids not even landing tricks...wtf is that?

So what if it was improvised? You do know that the actors in it had never acted before and were just playing themselves, don't you? That whole feel added to the documentary aspect of the film, plus the soundtrack was awesome. They did land tricks and fell down as well, which happens in REAL LIFE. You do know what that is don't you, godhatesyou211?

Ok, this movie was no great feat, but I enjoyed it. But what makes me the most angry about your reply, godhatesyou211, is your horrible opinion on the soundtrack and the skateboarding scenes.

The soundtrack was especially well done and thought out. The music is what fuels the drive behind the skatepunk scene. You're obviously not aware that the majority of skatepunks are not pro skaters and do not do the crazy tricks you see on pro skater vids and tony hawk games.

So I'm suppose to disregard my opinions about film (or any other artistic medium) whenever my opinion hurts someone else's feelings? If you enjoy this film on a personal level so much, then why are you so concerned with what anyone else thinks?

this movie is just an overall bad movie in every aspect of movie making. and what would being rich and white have anything to do with not liking this movie? the whole movie was gay.

this *beep* is utter crap
sure it had a potential to be good
s hit i wanted to see it when i heard of it, but f ucken, an hour into the movie i realized it was really stupid, the acting was annoying, maybe if they got better actors it wouldnt have been as annoying

The acting was horrible but I think that's what made it seem real.

And the soundtrack is so good. I think they're all local bands, which makes it f'ing cool because I'm from L.A.

i think judging this movie has nothing to do with race.
yeah it can mean a lot to you, but it was *beep* anyways
i was so bored out of my mind i would have had more fun
playing bingo with my grandma. the acting was crap
and it DIDNT seem real. it just seemed like kids were picked
out of my school to make a movie.

don't think that just because someone is white
that they're automatically gonna hate a movie about another class/race

the scenes dragged on
the dialogue was repetitive and pointless
the racism was over acted
maybe there are racist people out there
but it was ridiculous
they made all white girls of upper class
seem like sluts

I love this movie..Not at first but i watched a middle part and it drew me in and it is actually an excellent movie..Whoever don't like it must not have ever felt different or got treated that way. I mean I am white but I can identify with this movie..

I dont know why people are putting race into this. ONE of the aspects of this movie was that they were MExican.

ANYWAY.. yes the acting was bad and i was bored watching this film. IF they wanted the film to seem real, then just do a freaking documentary! Why have it so horrible.

Im actually glad they didnt use real actors to play the kids in the movie otherwise it wouldnt feel right. I grew up around this scene, I wasnt a skater but i had friends who were and we always went to backyard gigs and trust me this movie is pretty close to what happends. I get what some people say that its not a very good movie but the story hits home in alot of ways.

I thought the acting, soundtrack and overall mood and feel of the film were great! My issue was with the storytelling and pace. It's like they had everything except a script with a solid story and plot.
