I actually enjoyed this movie...

I've been a fan of Larry Clark's films for a while now. And I must say, that Wassup Rockers was a rather unusual film for Clark. It sort of leaned away from his original style, but still had some Clark-like elements to it. I remember watching this movie back when I was a skateboarding teenager myself. At the time, I thought the movie was cool, but I could never fully relate with Wassup Rockers as being a Larry Clark film. But still, the film has its own style. Of course, there's a lot of flaws I could point out. Of course, the acting certainly wasn't the best...but it wasn't terrible either. I think the characters had a lot of originality. The movie had a good soundtrack, considering the whole atmosphere of the plot and characters. It kinda got a little cheesy when the skateboarders arrived in Beverly Hills, but it was still entertaining. That's one thing I can definitely say about this film...it was entertaining. It may have lacked some depth, but it was still enjoyable to watch. Besides, who ever said that all movies need to contain a lot of "depth". I just think the film was really stylish, which is what kept my attention. One of those "style over substance" kind of films. And if you're a skateboarder, than you definitely might enjoy this movie.

And then...and then...and then...and then....
