Steve Harris and Catherine Dent

WOW!!! What a trailer. Very impressive. Steve and Catherine are moving up in a big way if this movie catches on. Whew!!! I've never seen this Gale Harold before. Hmmmmm.

Mr. Harold has been in several independent movies, but he's best known for his portrayal of the uber-sexy (and uber-sexed) Brian Kinney in "Queer as Folk (US)." Everything I've seen him in to this point tells me that he is more talented an actor than 99% of the "movie stars" I see on the big or small screen. I sincerely hope to see more of his work in the near future!!

I just finished watching The Unseen. Steve Harris was terrific in his role. Gale Harold was good too especially given limitations of how his character was written. It would've been more compelling if Gale's character was given more character development within the movie. Gale brought such emotion and introspection to the character with the limited time he had on screen, one has to wonder how powerful his performance could've been if his role had more meat to it.

Some of the other actors like Phillip Bloch and Michelle Clunie were almost comedic given how much they overacted. It was as if they were comedians playing caricatures of Southerners and the blind. Their performances were cringe worthy.

I agree with much of that, but I do differ on one point. Here's the thing: I didn't think Bloch or Clunie overacted at all, and I'm a southerner. There really are southerners just like that. The cliche isn't that they exist, but that all southerners resemble them, and the movie doesn't embrace that cliche at all. As for their being "almost comedic," they were meant to be comedic at times. There was some good, honest, well-earned humor in those performances.
