Mary Jane Watson is a terrible person throughout Sam Raimi's trilogy

She dates Flash, who’s a dick.

She lies to Peter about her “audition” in the city.

When Peter tries to talk to her about his issues, she brushed him off and tells him he needs to do better. When she has issues, he listens and offers sound advice based on experience.

She doesn’t wait for him like she said she would, getting engaged shortly after she said she would.

She’s in love with Spider-man but engaged to another man.

She’s really needy and in constant need of reinforcement from those around her.

I agree. I feel like if the Sam Raimi films were made today, Mary Jane would have more justice. I do admit that her role got a little better in the second one, but then she got worse in the third. Whenever Peter tries to help her, she keeps bringing him down. And it doesn't seem like she has much of a role in the third movie other than to be a damsel in distress again. It's like they tried so hard to give her a bad life, but we're to believe it doesn't matter as long as she's in Peter's arms by the end.

Yep. She's in love with Spider-Man, not the actual Peter Parker. Plays too many mind games. She was hard on him.

Yes and Peter is a massive simp for putting up with any of it.
