I think that the casting in this film was excellent. The actors and extras all looked like they where from that period in terms of body shape/build, pasty skin tone etc. This kind of detail makes all the difference in making the whole thing look authentic. Good Job!
shareIf you watch the 'Making Of...' in the extras, there's a lot of interesting stuff on the casting and how they achieved this; including a wonderful party with many of the original Windmill Girls, now in their eighties and still as glamorous as ever.

With the exception of one of the girls (the one who did the main singing) the casting was pretty terrific.
The musical version got some rave reviews, too- hope to see it, when it gets to London's West End.
