Why is a (airplane ) bomb in the library ?

in 2 shots during the introduction of the secret library,
a standard gray ( airplane ) bomb is visible, as artefact.
An atomic bomb ?
Whats the relation to the other artefacts ?
What can make a bomb to be an artefact ?

Concerning the idea of a (mini) series, of other posters:
They might focus on one artefact by each episode :-).

Sincerely
Rolf

According to TNT's web pages on the Library, it is indeed supposed to be Little Boy, but the interactive Library tour information on it doesn't quite make sense to me---it says the Library impounded it in hopes of preventing its use and finding a peaceful solution to the war, but that didn't happen and it was "re-armed" and sent over Hiroshima. I would think they meant rebuilt, because if it was re-armed and dropped, it would be the one that really detonated over Hiroshima, and it would have been destroyed in its own explosion. Perhaps it's the original Little Man, disarmed, and a second Little Man was actually dropped, but that's not what the TNT info says. I don't think it belongs in the Library, but I'd guess the writer/s included there either as a sociopolitical statement and/or because they wanted more modern items, but couldn't think of any. And it's a simple prop to construct; mostly smooth, single color, simple shape.

Little Man is located all the way on the bottom left of the Library map. The annoying clicking is only for this item. Maybe it's supposed to be a Geiger counter? Another thing that doesn't make a lot of sense, since if it was the detonated one, it wouldn't look so pristine, and the counter's obviously registering radiation.

All in all, I think it was a stupid element, even though it was small. Maybe someone lost a bet. Maybe someone thinks there's something supernatural about nuclear fission.

Fat Man

and

Little Boy

NOT

Little Man.

You think that was stupid? How about the fact that he actually opened pandoras box and nothing happened? Or how about the spear of destiny is solid gold when it was supposed to be a regular spear unless we're to believe a roman soldier was carrying around a weapon made of more gold than he and everyone he had ever known owned.

Not only an A bomb but the apple Adam and Eve ate too LOL although the screen didn't display a picture for that.

So the library has time travel if it can get old stuff like this.
