Any more films like this?

Anybody who really enjoyed this and have any fairly similar films they can recommend, please do. Thank you.

I'm curious to know, too! The pacing, setting, and plot were just right for me.

It's hard for me to think of any quite similar off the top of my head. Pacing wise, I highly recommend The Boy!

If you like the setting, Leap Year is a nice romantic comedy.

Oh! If you liked this, I bet you'd like Visions!

I'm looking out for 'Leap Year' if that is the one that is set in Ireland. 'Visions' sounds really good.

Have you seen

Darkness Falls
Dark Water
The Forgotten
The Skeleton Key
They Wait
The Others
Psychosis
The Eye

They are not exactly similar but you might like them.

Those titles sounds promising. They have all got a ominous ring to them and they'll be going on my watchlist.

The Dark (2005) is very similar. Mother mourning the death of a child, moves to place inthe middle of nowhere and creepy things occur...

This reminded me of an Elizabeth Taylor movie called Night Watch. Only thing missing was the kid.

Adding to those already cited: "The Uninvited" (2009), “The Wicker Man” (1973/2006), “The Fog” (1980/2005), “The Haunting of Seacliff Inn” (1994), "That Beautiful Somewhere" (2006) and “Loch Ness” (1996)

Thanks for the recommendations for more films like 'Half Light.' There are some good ones and from other people on here.

I've just watched the 1973 version of 'The Wicker Man.' I've rated it 9/10.

Just one thing I've noticed when re-watching 'Half Light' recently. When Rachel tries to revive her son after his drowning. She lies him on his back and tries to give him the kiss of life. Shouldn't she have lied him on his stomach and worked his back? To try to get rid of the water first?
