I heard a rumor that Quentin Tarantino is a huge fan of the Half-Life series, and is considering making a movie based on Half-Life. :)
I hope it's true, and I hope he does do it, because he seems like the kind of director that doesn't let the production company ruin his movies.

As bad a director as Uwe Boll is... Far Cry game itself has one of the most terrible stories I've seen anywhere, along with woeful acting.. I wonder how even Boll would screw up that, it should take some skill to make an even worse movie than game's story already is.
