Where Was This Filmed?
Anybody know where this was filmed? I thought I saw Oregon plates on one of the cars and was reminded of the San Juan Islands by some of the scenery in the film.
Just curious.
Desolation Sound is a real place on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia. They filmed the movie there.

It was indeed filmed on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia. That's a local name for a place more properly known as the Sechelt Peninsula. It's where the old CBC series The Beachcombers was filmed. The nearest towns are Gibsons, Sechelt, and Roberts Creek.
The actual Desolation Sound, however, is some 50 or 60 miles northwest of the filming location.
