shareIt's not plagiarism. Lots of films have the same title. Cassavettes's and Sonnenfeld's "Big Trouble," Baumbach and the new "Kicking and Screaming," Cronenberg's and Haggis's "Crash." I have no problem with this title anyway.
"What do you want?"
"To kill you."

When I first saw the film being advertised on SHOWTIME, I thought they were talking about the John Candy movie too initially...and when I actual saw the filml I have to admit I really don't know why they gave the film the title they did.
shareYeah, the title didn't really seem to fit well. I also thought it was the John Candy film when I saw it at first on Showtime.

This is what DiCillo said on his website.
"I chose the title Delirious primarily because it means, “A state of happiness so intense it verges on being crazy.” It seemed like a good word to describe the people in the film. They don’t want to just be happy–they want to be so happy they’re almost insane."

Dear Mr. DiCillo,
That explanation is as INANE as the title itself.
Me.

I thought a better title would've been "Rule #1"
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubble gum
I agree the title is dumb. It describes nothing about the movie or it's characters. "Delusional" would have been a better title.
