Does anyone have an idea when this novie will be released? I'm guessing that it won't be released in the theaters in America, but i still would like to know.

"Animal" was originally slated for a July 2005 European release, but I have not read anything more about it. There was no info about when it might be released over here. I would be inclined to think that it would be released in the US only on DVD.
The plot (which is on the StudioCanal website) is about a genetics research scientist (Andreas Wilson) who is conducting an experiment on prisoner, who is a convicted serial killer (Diogo Infante). Sort of a sci-fi, horror type of thriller, as I understand it.

animal" is indeed a sort of mysterious film. it's an "anticipation" as we call it in france.
set in a near future, on a european campus , in a department of molecular biology. it's about violence in the dna. it's spectacular and classy. a bit in the "gattaca" vein. the cast is european. it 's announced in France for a release , next january, the 11th, I think; then in canada in march, in both territories. then in south america, portugal, spain. that's all I learnt for the moment.
the film was in selection for best first film in Montreal, best new director in chicago, and discovery of the year at the hollywood film festival. if somebody knows who won by the way, just let me know.
