WHAT DOES THE DREAM SEQUENCE INDICATE?

I found it impossible to understand what the dream sequence immediately after the intermission meant? Moreover, the poor girl(CAROL GRACIAS) who CYRUS gives chocolates to; what significance does she hold?
Can anyone answer?
THE DIRECTION

I thought that the girl was just there, and his giving the chocolates was meant to show that he was compassionate, I didn't read too much into it...

the whole feel of "Being Cyrus" and how it felt being cyrus... the dream sequence is a very smart hint of what was about to follow. Moreover, it shows the different clash of ideologies and symbol of fear and confusion when one is about to take a very big step and is confused about it just the way it happens with every one, when something is on your mind, it will come in your dreams as a dream or anightmare depends on how your brain has been thinking about the particular "subject". Hope that answers the question.

PS: Being Cyrus was brilliant!
