What do you think?

While this list was good, it was partially hit and miss. Besides, lists like these are subjective.

I like dmost of the songs. MMM,MMM,MMM was a good song.
Yeah, those people were all so annoying. They were just a bunch of nobodies.

And Rico Suave is a cool song,

There's not a woman that can handle
A man like me
That's why I juggle two or three

The lyrics are golden.

I will never, never forgive them for putting "Mesmerize" on their stupid list. That's one of my favorite songs.

reply

I found it amusing when they were talking about "Rico Suave", someone said that Weird Al's work was done, and he need not make a parody, because Weird Al did make a parody ("Taco Grande").

The whole countdown was a piece of crap and should've never been made. Some of the songs they TRIED to make fun of were actually good, like "I Will Do Anything For Love(But I Won't Do That)". To add insult to the injury the comments were never in the least bit funny; so bad that it makes me yearn for Carrot Top or Pauly Shore. Blender Magazine praises for such crap like Avril Lavine of Beyonce Knowels, yet talk crap about Meatloaf and Starship(two of which are more superior). The whole magazine is composed of ditzy wannabes and a Simon Cowell ripoff.

There were a few songs on there that totally deserved to be on that list. But all of those songs were hits for one reason: People liked them. They should've gotten songs that were truly bad no matter the chart position.

Well, these ranking shows are biased and silly anyway, but still fun to watch. I laughed my ass of cuz it was funny. But these songs are awesomely bad because they were hits, we loved em, we bought the albums and still love em, but when it comes down to it, some of the songs were just plain stupid. But they were hits and they worked for the time being!

I bet if I really tried, I could rip the show off part by part. I'll do a few off the top of my head. Yes, I was waiting for Eiffle 65's Blue as well. As for Billy Joel's we didn't start the fire? To name dozens of important people or events in the past 50 years or so, make them rhyme, and still make the song catchy is a very hard to do and he should only be praised for that. Puff Daddy's "I'll Be Missing You" was torn apart for some stupid reason like that the style wasn't right or because he used Sting's song. It's not like he was trying to make it seem like his own song, he was trying to honor a friend that died. It's like if Star magazine decided to rip celebrities apart on people's fashions as they went to a funeral. WHO CARES? He wants to write a song about a friend of his who died. Leave him alone. a bunch of songs took hits because of their music videos. Last time I checked, it was a countdown of awesomely bad SONGS, not videos. The last thing I have to say may lead into some religious/spiritual arguments, which isn't my intention, but I bet it will happen anyway; hence my putting it at the end. They ripped one of Bette Midler's songs apart. I'm not sure the name, possibly "God Is Watching Us" or something like that. One of the comments made was some guy who thought he was so funny. He says something along the lines of: "God is watching us always? Even when we're in the shower? That's kind of creepy." Assuming that this person is a believer in God, he has just accused the Lord Almighty, his creator, as being a pervert. What an idiot. Yes, I'm sure God takes peeks at you in the shower for jollies. The guy who said that shouldn't be allowed on television anymore. I'm not this huge Bette Midler fan, but when someone suggests that God is a "peeping Tom" then they're a moron and need help and this television special should be on some "Awesomely Bad" list.

This is the most awesomely bad list...ever!!!

"What's Up?" by Four Non Blondes was one of my anthems as a kid. I still think that song is great and have no idea what they were thinking when they pegged it to the same list as lame 80's synth pop and teen idol swill.

Well I guess I can say that I do dislike many of the songs on this list, but i hate it for one reason. The Final Countdown by Europe, WHY THE HELL WAS THIS ON THERE! ONE OF THE GREATEST ROCK ANTHEMS OF ALL TIME. WTF IS VH1 THINKING, THE CHANNEL HAS SUCKED SINCE THE 80'S.

Here Here, Final Countdown is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone give the list from this show. I didn't see it and I'd really like to know.

I think his god comment sounds harmless, although it failed in the make-you-laugh department. I've heard way better god jokes. Of course, I don't believe in god, and I'm also not overly sensitive and understand comics make their livings by pushing the envelope. Lighten up, get over it, or change the channel. Haha--jeez. >_<

I hated the way they whined about "Angry American". It was written after 9-11, and expressed what damn near every american, including liberal hippies, felt at the time. Soldiers in POW camps sing it to boost morale. Then they whined about "So after 9-11, did he join the military? Wait, no, he bravely wrote a song (sarcasm)". Newsflash...HE WAS FOURTY *beep* YEARS OLD!!!! He couldn't join the military, he was 5 years over the cut off date. They want to yap *beep* about the song, lets see them do it at Camp Victory or Camp Renegade. CNN will start its own "Liberal Hippie Douche" casualty list in Iraq, brought to you courtesy of the red white and blue.

If Ashlee Simpson ain't on the list I can't take it seriously.

good point, where are all the awesomely bad songs from the last 5 years? you don't think music mogols are behind these lists, somehow trying to pump up the volume on the trash they're shoving down our throats on pop radio...

...the biggest laugh I've had in years is when Ashlee Simpson pouted and ran off stage when she tried to lipsynch the same song on SNL twice in a row, and she showed real integrity blaming it on her drummer...

I'm a drummer, and if I was unfortunate enough to have to play for AS and she threw me to the wolves that way, I'd have shoved a 2D stick into her nasty rectum!

I think VH1 sucks! 'nough said!
