shareGood point! I don't think they ever discussed this but Im assuming they paid off their house, put money into the girls' college funds like they always talked about doing and I have no idea what else they spent it on but it seemed to go pretty quick huh!

i dont remember seeing an epi where they got $250,000... but in season 3 they are delinquent on the TWO mortgages and the co is calling everyday. There is only $30,000 in the kids' college fund.

Also, if you have watched the entire series, you would know that Joe was fired from his aerodytec job and there are only 2 other companies in the Phoenix area that fit his specialized skill set. They talked about moving to OR once.
He turned around and invested it into his own business. He had office space he had to furnish and took 3 months to find his first employee (the abused son of a domestic terrorist.) He was working on bringing his "solar powered whatchamacallit" to reality. They weren't broke after that episode and really didn't whine about money for the episodes following.
