"crying"

Patricia Arquette's acting on this show is some of the worst acting I have seen in a long time. But the real tipping point is when she has to cry. It is painful to watch, such bad acting. I have seen child actors fake cry better than Patricia Arquette. And it just keeps getting worse over the seasons. Does anyone actually find it believable?

well, why bother watching all the seasons if you think it was bad acting?

She great in this role. It's the role she was meant to play. On CSI: Cyber she's stiff and unconvincing (which you also seem to watch) but her role as Allison is a natural as it gets.

Generally speaking, I think her acting was quite good in this role... but I also cringe (and laugh) whenever she cries! She always starts with this squinty grin, followed by a weird wailing sound. It might not be bad acting, though, as some people are just ugly criers. LOL

I've only seen her cry twice so far, but each time is horrendous. I love her and this show, but it sounds like a kid fake crying to get attention.

I just started watching this show and I came on here to see if anyone talked about her crying. Besides her crying I think her acting is really good. I cringe every time she has a crying scene.

Lol! I started binging this show about 3 months ago. I'm inching towards the series finale. And goddamn she cannot cry. Also, when she is "angry" and trying to raise her voice, it's bad too. And I hate the scenes where a dead person visits her at home while her family is asleep, and she is supposed to be whispering but its so loud and froggy.

I've been watching Arquette since the 90s. I never felt she was a bad actress. I kinda love her actually. And this show is corny as hell so the bad acting kind of fits.
