I don't think Wilson was dying at all. House probably faked the whole thing to get him to ride along with him.
shareI think Wilson was hallucinating when he saw House... he has brain cancer and decided not to fight it. Notice how no one else noticed that House was outside his own wake... only Wilson because only Wilson could see him.
shareIf that was the case then in the final scene of House and Wilson speaking on their bikes before riding off into the sunset they would have had the final ride scene with Wilson riding off by himself.
