How much would i miss if i skip Broken ?

I just started season 6 and broken is pissing me off beyond of what i expected. I knew season 6 was gonna begin differently with House in jail but instead of Jail a launatics place full pf freaks all bothering me beyond my patience.

Its making me want to puke this season and the end of season 5 i want to strangle the writers, it was going so well and then we got the horrible season 5 continuing so bad in this, House is at his best solving his cases and saving the world by giving his brilliant Diagnosis that no one else could have come up with,

I loved the first seasons because of the mix between the drama of the cases and the coool side of house.

So how much would it hurt if i skip broken 1 and 2

reply

I love Broken it's the House movie . I can't say watch people like different things but many fans, myself included rate Broken as one of their favorites of the series.

reply

His character growth is crucial in broken, if you skip it you miss some key elements to the future of the show, i say endure it.

reply

No skipping of episodes! You need to watch all episodes in the right order to get the full picture. Besides, Broken is like a huge open window into House's soul and mental state. The other patients who are with him in Mayfield, represent the symptoms of his mental disorder.

House to Wilson about Cuddy: She is not some floozy in a bar. She is the floozy I work for.

reply

All right i was able to endure broken which didn't end up that bad at the end. Actually i did apreciate the second part, its just that leaving the formula was a hard process for me. i was used to the almost every episode end in a happy resolution so when they twisted it in season 2 with the two first episodes i was like ok its just two episodes and then they will go back to normal which did for a while to go dark at the end and following just the first episode of season 3 which again finished in a very dark tone to light up with House getting his new team.

I loved the formula the first season followed and being sure all their cases would be sold. I know its not Modern Familiy but didn't expect it to get so dark by season 6. One of my girls did tell she liked this show till season 4 but didn't giv eany spoilers She told me The mian character stopped being cool.

But i still kept going and went by my own risk and she was right. Lets see what happens now that he is out of the clinic and retired from medicine.

Ohh and i did like Lydia she was really sweet and i liked her relationship with him a lot, though i didn't expect the love scene i thought hisbfisrt love scene in the show would be with Cuddy in season 7.

reply

House already had a love scene with Stacy aka the love of his life in season 2.

House to Wilson about Cuddy: She is not some floozy in a bar. She is the floozy I work for.

reply

But it was pretty short, it doesn't count since it was interrupted by House team.

reply

It does count and that it was interrupted by House's team doesn't change the fact that it is a love scene. By the way, since House aired on the broadcasting network FOX, you won't get to see much more then some movements under the bed sheets, anyway. If you are keen to see long and detailed sexual graphic scenes, then I suggest shows, which air on a cable network or are produced by an online streaming service.

reply

Actually im watching it vía Netflix, why do you think im advancing so fast?
So i get to see the whole thing, no censorship which is good the love scene with Lydia was shot very nicely and sexy without looking porno like lets say Game of thrones.

Or maybe Netflix did caught off the complete love scene with Stacy since they thought it wasn't that important i only remember them lying in bed together and House kissing her to get a call from his team one episode after Failure to comunicate.

reply

It seems like they were allowed to do more with House and Lydia than anything else they did for the entire series . I don't know if it was the movie like format or because it was away from House's usual surroundings . It was different.

reply

Id incline my self for the theory of doing something outside his surroundings or maybe because of their deep connection. She just didn't mind really mind what he did with her car, she saw the good side in him all along

I guess Shore thought it would be cool of we saw House getting a real connection with someone.

Stacy loved him but got tierd of his anger sfter the leg surgery, the leg incident broke their marriage and House latter decided him going back with her would make mark misserable, he left her fhe second time to not to do what mark did to him.

Cameron and cuddy loved more the idea of House than House himself. They admired him professionally and the few times he cared for their patients made them think they could change him. Cameron ehen she said goodbye the second time was like her idol slowly dissapointed her, Cuddy loved him and I thought she had something cool eith him but made the huge mistake of trying to change him or ran away for the fear of being screwd up.

Just one mistake with the vicodin and left him, she broke up with him on a instant reaction.

So the live scene with Lydia could be to prove he had something special with her

This is why I don't really know what they were trying to do with Cuddy. A doctor who didn't think a person out of rehab could slip up? A 40 something woman and Doctor who is desperate for a baby but is clueless about bonding ? A woman who wants a relationship but is not willing to put any work into one? As her mother points out she can't keep a relationship because of expectations. She is emotionally stunted in so ways more that House.

Cameron blamed House for what Chase did but that is what she does blame others . Chase was highly influanced by Cameom as well but he wasn't willing to run away . That's Cameron's MO

The middle ground procedure was more Cuddy's doing she went behind her patient's back. Stacy I think followed it out of desperation but neither respected his wishes.

Lydia liked House and cared about him for himself .

reply

True. Cuddy was more clueless about relationships than House she just didn't know how to give in and that's what distroyed her relationship with House, breaking up because he slipped was huge mistake.
He just slipped once she could have forgiven him that, i could understand she was scared but she definitely overreacted.

Stacy didn't respect his wishes because she wanted the best for him and was afraid to loose him and tge irony not respecting ehat he wanted made them split but again the second break up was because of Stacy's husband.
House felt guilty when Mark tried to talk to him and saw how much he needed stacy, House i thought at least i can move and be more independent mark was in wheelchair his guilt for mark made him not to try a second time with Stacy which is sad because i did like them together.

Agreed completely on what you said about Cameron. Stuff like that is what makes me prefer Thirteen
