They should have looked for a female Dean for season 8

Im finally again on my last season and Foreman i don't think is the right guy for being House dean.

While he did help him many times he had a constant competition with him and House was better with a female Dean in awe of him, admiring and drooling for him. Someone who would understand him and protect him against anyone and anything just like Cuddy did at the beginning.

House wouldn't have gone through what he did if he would have had someone like Cuddy at the end, she would have been angry but at the end save his arse just like she did with Tritter and Vogler.
I really wished they would have hired a hot female Dean to flirt and fight with House, if the plan was going back to the beginning they should have looked for Cuddy-like woman.

Foreman was just not right to be there.
I decided him and Wilson were my least favorite characters.

I think Foreman tried to protect House . Sometimes House made that hard . No one really worked with House more than Foreman and Foreman was a good doctor .
Now if they were not ending the series I have no doubt they would have pulled House out of a jam again.

I think he did fine as Dean . What I would have done though is bring in an actress to be legal counsel for the hospital and House. I always thought they should have had one around more.

With all the questionable things House and his team did a lawyer on call just for their department wouldn't be overkill!

reply

Yeahh bring stacy back and beg her to stay. Cuddy did a good call by hiring her, too bad she didn't look for a replacement or maybe they could have looked for one for the last season

Of course Cuddy saved him! Otherwise she would have lost her star doctor, the one who made the PPTH to one of the top hospitals and therefore wouldn't be able to bask in his success anymore. Cuddy isn't an altruist.
With standing up to Vogler she first and foremost saved her own job. Back then she would have stood up to Vogler much sooner if she really cared about House.
In retrospective, I would have preferred it if they had a male Dean of Medicine right from the start. Then TPTB most likely wouldn't have gotten the idea to pair him up with House.
Cuddy too often had a bad influence on House and with her behavior towards him she aggravated his problems.

House to Wilson about Cuddy: She is not some floozy in a bar. She is the floozy I work for.

reply

At least she understood so, for whatever reason she did so House avoided jail and loosing his job twice. She did it by convinience but she knew House was his best asset Foreman didn't get it that well.

The real romance was a big failure but the banter was fun in the early seasons and its something i missed in season 8. Dominika in some filled that whole but she left him as well.

Bringing on another female dean and having her flirt and fight with house would have been the exact same story that they had with Cuddy which clearly you didn't like because you talk about how when they put Huddy together they had "ran out of ideas"

Foreman understood him more than most people and did his best to protect him but ultimately House is responsible for his own actions and dug his own grave.

reply

I liked Huddy its just I prefered them as flirting friends than as a romantic couple and still think their romance was cute while it lasted what i complained about often is how they were in season 5 after Joy and how they were right after their break up.

But if we would have had a happily ever after with them i would have been fine with it.

reply

True. Their back and fourth bickering/flirting brought a lot of humor to the show and was one of the things that entertained me the most. You're right about after they broke up, too. Bombshells has to be one of my least favorite episodes and I thought it was complete crap that she was the reason he went to prison.

I never bought House as being the happily ever after outcome for a TV show but I like that House had a renewed sense of enlightenment and that he found more of humanity than he ever had in the past although I think he'll always be a stubborn jerk he's just more enamored.

reply

Yeees that early bickering was fun and enjoyable like you said its what brought big part the humor, so like i said most of my dislike for Huddy is for what happened after their breakup and i agree it was a bad idea she is the reason he went to jail.

I hatted he went to jail period, i wished that would have never happened it doesn't go well with the character but they had to do this after how Shore messed things up at the end of season 7 and had to reedem the character for it so he went to that trial without a lawyer because he felt he deserved to be in jail.

House is a show that could have ended with a happily ever after, its a drama but not as serious as something like Breaking Bad and House wasn't as evil as Walter White so Shore could have given us a happier ending maybe not with a romance but letting us seeing him back at PPTH.
I think his biggest passion was his profession and hatted he lost it.

The Sherlock Holmes Homage was very nicely done but i wished David Shore would have fought for a two hours ending.
1 for explaining why faked his death and everything we saw and the second hour to bring him back, if they didn't want a romance for him why not using Stacy just to help him go back to his old life Both Chase and House working together in alternate teams.

Both getting their own team but Chase using House help once in a while and Chase being the one with season 8 team memebers while House getting a whole new team again because he thinks Chase needs the ones with more expirience while he knows he can train new people to work with him.
