actually sakai has an exceptional winning record with sea food. I think he won like 13 and lost once or twice when the theme ingredient was sea food.

Actually Flay is considered one of the "better" chefs in America. Specializing in BBQ/Southwest cooking. of all the chefs on iron Chef w/o the food network flay wouldn't be 1/2 of what he is today.
Did anyone see Ralph from last season's Hell's Kitchen compete against Bobby Flay on Iron Chef? I guess Ramsey chose the wrong guy last year.

Like someone earlier said, BBQ is his specialty. And don't hate on BBQ. I'll rather eat BBQ any day than some of the stuff they cook in five star restaraunts. Also, mastering a BBQ grill is very, very hard. Anyway, how can you determine who is the best chef anyway? Isn't it all about preference?

none of the Iron Chef's have a restaurant rated 3-stars by the Michelin guide. Ramsay does.
Gordon Ramsay is on a level with people like Thomas Keller, Eric Ripert, etc

What does a michelin star mean anyway? Are you saying because Gordon has them that he is better then Wolfgang Puck or Bobby Flay? Michelin stars seems like it is a European obsession with chefs. Spago is probably the most famous celebrity restaurant but does that mean it is not that good because it doesn't have 3 michelin stars? Puck would piss on Gordon Ramsey
