Weak script

I thought the movie had a lot of potential but the way it was written and the storyline was a bit too lazy.

They say "Burt" as many times in this movie as they say *beep* in Scarface. Someone should make a compilation, would have been hillarious!

It's also way to many characters so no one get a time grow and develop, except for Burt. So all the characters are flat and annoying, even the boy who gets the most time to develop. The two girls who worked on the salt plains is a good example.

It is too many small ups and downs, so that in the end you get kind of tired of it. you always know it will end well, and you just want it to be over. because you don't want to hear all that bland talk coming out of the characters which have less than a minute screen time in this movie.

The Burt Monroe character is really fun, but is surrounded by booring characters. Which is too bad. It feels like they tried to make a road movie but didn't quite make it.

This movie reaminds me of "The Martian" which suffers from the same things.

But as the movie say, "the critics don't count". I guess thats true, but its fun to have the discussion.
