Rave to the Grave (Test Screening)

Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave

I was able to catch both test screenings of Necropolis and Rave to the Grave. I like the second one a lot more than the first. The storyline in this film is a lot of fun. It centers on the same group of kids as last time, the surviving ones anyway plus a new love interest for Julian; Jenny.
The new characters in this film are a lot of fun. There are two new good guy agents and the more major addition is Jenny. She doesn't know what the other kids went through so she learns about it and reacts along with the audience. I'm glad they put her in there. She is a smart girl and she can kick ass! She does this kickboxing move and can hold her own against the zombies. She's awesome.
There are also the two new international agents that are trying to recover the chemical. The two make a good comic team and they are a fun addition too. I love the part when they dress up as opera singers to disguise themselves at the Halloween rave.
This film has a lot more of a comedic tone than the last one. For the last film, the tone was a little more serious and there are parts where I wasn't sure if it was intentional campy comedy or bad filmmaking. I see now even more clearly that it was all put there on purpose and it's hysterical.
One thing about these cuts that I saw, is that they weren't finished. It was apparent and explained to us that there still is a lot of work to be done. I was excited to see them even though they were incomplete because this is such a great jumping off point. The movies are really funny as they are and with the audience responses it should only get better. When it's done, I think it's gonna be fantastic.
It was a lot of fun to see these movies in the theater. I know that if I saw them at home I wouldn't have enjoyed them as much. I enjoyed all of the laughing and mood that goes with an audience and that's what these movies are made for. It's kinda like a laugh track on a sitcom, it would be much different without it. I can't wait to see them again when they are finished.

It reads like a promo by one of the cast members.... Was the film good or did they just like it?

Hope they're good but have my doubts.
