Ignore 3 through 5, make a new part 3.

I think the only possible way they can fix this is to ignore parts 3 through 5, which had nothing to do with the original movies, concept, comedy, cast, writers, directors, anything at all. I don't think those involved with 3-5 even saw the original 2. Just get the original people involved to make a third part to the REAL series from the 80s.

I liked what Brian Yuzna did directing "Return of the Living Dead 3". Very stylish and gross with an explosive, outrageous final reel. Asside from the original, it's the only good one in the lot.

I agree 3 is probably the best horror film out of all of them. I'd give it a 9/10. I wish it used the originals score but it was a good film which didn't ruin anything the first 2 did. They simply didn't make it goofy like the first 2, I would've enjoyed seeing zombies crawl out of the ground in the 3rd I must admit. But it had zombies that couldn't be killed by a bullet in the head, that wanted brains, that were kept by the military in barrels. And the gas, even if you'd rather michael jackson showing up and spinning in a movie you must admit that there is nothing wrong with the 3rd.

Now 4and5 are a different story altogether. They are terrible and don't follow the rules set down in the first 3 or hell, even in their own films. Really bad movies, 0/10 for each of them. I don't know why they'd waste their time making them.

Well said Betel-geuse...3 was a GREAT entry into the series & a GREAT horror/zombie movie in its own right. I thought it was genuinely SCARY at times...the zombies were HORRIFYING at times (much moreso then the "funny" part II) and what the military did to the zombies later on was horrifying (using them against their will as weapons)...

very unique film, Brian Yuzna (the Dentist, Re-animator 2 & 3) always delivers!

a much better way woudl be to ignore 2, 4 and 5, because 1 and 3 were the only ones that were "good"

I vote for another "Rave To The Grave" in order to erase the memory of this one. Something involving an underground rave collective, or Freetekno tribe, or "reclaim the streets" or squatter movement. An abandoned US military base, possibly in Europe, which is broken into for protest or party reasons (or both).
Another trioxin barrel is discovered and unsealed. Possibly a finale involving sonic destruction or at least temporary paralysis of zombies using the infamous (and probably fictional) "brown note".
