Wait a minute ..why don't they remember?

If I'm not mistaken the characters in this film are the same from Return of the Living Dead Necropolis. Then WHY don't they remember? When the zombies break out and start eating people, why don't they think, "Hey this is just like what happened in that big building that my uncle worked at a few months ago. They are zombies everyone, shoot them in the head! Where are our motorcross bikes when we need them to be badass?"

..did I miss a mind erasing scene at the end of Necropolis [I was multitasking at the end], or did the makers of Rave to the Grave to lazy / think people won't realize?

I'm all for a bad zombie flick, but jeez. I passed out during this one. At least in Necropolis I was kept awake by laughing at the teenagers being "the heros".

That fact just ruined completely the movie for me, i mean, why even bother having the survivor guys if the continuity plot isn't fully explored.

Yeah, this bothered me too as I was watching the film. My conspiracy theory is that they vowed to not remember what a horrible movie it was, and decided that it was just one helluva drug/booze induced nightmare/trip they had. Then they agreed not to mention it again, under penalty of torture of starring in a sequel even worse than this one.

Yeah, butchering of the classics. :(

I would say Survival of the Dead, but this is one is pretty worse. :(

easy answer: When these were filming, Rave to The Grave was actually part 4 & Necropolis part 5! For some reason, when the producers took a step back, they decided to reverse the orders of the movies! Thus, creating even MORE plot holes between 4 & 5.

Soo, in other words there would be even more plot holes if they were switched.
1. The uncle would suddenly come back to life.
2. They would once again not have any clue what the zombies were even though they were the cause of them in Rave.

They might have been trying to do something similar to what the people who made Return of the living dead 2 did; having the same actors play other characters in a sequel. They even made a joke about it in that movie. It was crappy done in this one though.

Er despite having the same cast, the movies are seperate, they do not coincide.
Notice how in the first movie, we have Frank and Freddy in the very first movie becomming infected, dying, reainmating and then getting nuked, only for them to reappear in the second movie as grave robbers?

When people consider the cast of 4/5 being the same as a continuity problem, I have to wonder if they ever got around to watching the first two movies.

its not like 2 was a good movie anyway.

EXCEPT that in 1 and 2 although they use the same actors they play different people with different names. While here its the same actors playing the same characters with the same names. Plus, if they have wanted to honor the first movies why didn't the ACTUALLY bomb the whole area like in the first one? That was what immediately came to my mind when they said the army had dealt with this before. Yes they bombed the rave but the main characters survived (unfortunately). Plus this movie was just flat out crap. Pure, unadulterated crap
