Same director as 'Eight Legged Freaks'?!?

Not for nothing, but I LOVE Eight Legged Freaks. Great combination of a modern special FX film and 1950s-style big bug flick. Ellory Elkam directed Eight Legged Freaks 3 years before these 2 ROTLD turds...and not for nothing, but these flicks, ESPECIALLY Rave, seem like an amateur effort. No sense of continuity, pacing, comic timing (which Eight Legged had plenty of IMO)...WTF happened to Ellory?!?!?

I thought the same thing but then I thought budget, and crew. Both of these flicks were shot on the cheap with Romanian crews.
