Drugs used for special abilities in the game

I was reading this article on the game and the developer was talking about how drugs would give you special abilities in the game. For example, heroin would make you faster etc. The developer however also said that this game wasn't encouraging, meaning that it wasn't telling kids go use drugs because it'll make you quicker and stronger. But the use of drugs also has long-term effects on the character.

Why would heroin make you faster??? lol

I...uh...don't know. Maybe because you get all crazy when you're high. LOL.

Actually, it's SPEED that makes you faster. Makes a bit more sense, doesen't it? On the other hand, crack makes you a crackshot in the game. Wierd, huh?

I would think that crack would make your character paranoid or make him search on the floor for 3 hours.

Regardless, it shouldn't tell kids to do anything, ya know, considering the games rating, kids shouldn't even be playing it. People with the sense to know that drugs don't make you superman should be playing it. But hey, what do i know.

Being a former drug addict myself, I found this game to be one of the funniest games I've played in a long time! "You want some SH**?" Just hearing Michael Madsen say that is worth the $20 alone. I don't even find games like this or The Punisher or Grand Theft Auto shocking at all, they're really just funny to me. Narc takes the cake, though in my book.

I didn't see any consequences when my characters tried them. I even had one of them on top of a roof and hitting every drug I got more than three times. The only effect was the liquid soul or something. I just kept blacking out until that gauge was finally placed. Plus what's the deal with the drug test during the game. I totally missed up on it and still passed the test.

You'll have an identity crisis when you find out your life is just another Internet rumor.

The whole drug gimmick is broken, it doesn't work properly. The drug's effects are ridiculously unrealistic, and basically I wouldn't pay 20 dollars for this. 3 out of 10 for me.
