Loved this

Not only do I love to see the stars of the past, but just looking at the urban landscapes, the cars, the clothing, the homes, the styles in general in the culture (warts and all) is a real treat. It is a window to the past, irreplaceable.

The clip of the young girl singing the love song to Murray's young son is priceless!

I really liked this too. I heard of just about everyone in it except for Ken Murray and was surprised when they showed his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

There were so many big stars of the day in it but I wonder if more than a small fraction of them are known today. Reminded me a little of the "stars" in the movie Radio Days.

it was amazing to see Jayne Mansfield with her hair dyed dark and how much Mariska Hargitay now looks like her mother did then!

How many stars would be known is dependent on the generation & if they're totally into old movies if younger. L.A. looks like any big city from back east back then. And it would have been quite livable back then before so much overcrowding came into the cities. Fun to read the previous comments, which I all agree with. :)

This was when Hollywood was real. Opposed to today where today's Hollywood is so FAKE! Life was so simple. I would've love to have lived back then. The men always wore suits, if not then they were very well dressed. It was one of the biggest Honor to get a Star on the walk of fame for your body of work, where as today these stars just buy one. It's a INSULT to those who worked hard for one in the earlier years of Hollywood. I missed the first hour of the show, but saw last hour. I could watch it over and over. I grew up in the 70's when to me life was simpler. I grew without a dad. 2 brothers,1 handicapped, and my mom. We shared 1 gift at Christmas time, and lived on meals made from boxes of Bisquick, however I was the happiest kid in the world and wouldn't trade it for anything. I loved the 80's. In my opinion the best decade ever. The 20's-50's sounded so great to have lived,With the exception of The Great depression, WWII and other wars, plus talking to family and friends, and even strangers, it seemed like the quintessential time to experience. When we were kids we fought to stay outside. Nowadays the kids stay inside, don't want to work, and when they're together, they text each other while sitting next to each other. I apologize for rambling on, but I get carried away when the subject of living in a simpler time..
