Why all the hate?

All I am seeing are bad reviews. But I really liked this Film! I watched it, thought it had a good story. I really thought the characters were great. I went out and bought it. Everyone seems to hate this Film and I just don't understand why?

So agree with you. I really loved this movie, and i have seen a lot of movie. Think the acting was superb(not typical hollywood acting).

What you're saying is, you like over-acting with cheese on top. I've never seen a worse movie that had this many recognizable faces in it. They tried to patch this garbage up with silicone breasts and it didn't work.

When I saw it for the first time,I didn't understand what the fu*k is this movie all about. Now I have watched it for about 4 or 5 times and I started to understand the movie better.Same was the case with SCarface for me.I had to watch it 3 times to understand what the fuc*k is it all about.
Hell Ride and Scarface are not bad movies. They both are type of movies that require some brain activity.
Unlike Scarface,Hell Ride is not a serious movie,it is not meant to be taken seriously. It is 101 % for entertainment purposes only. And I also noticed that 100 % of dialogue consists of one-liners entirely.A movie of one-liners.It's like one-hour long movie trailer.
In general, it is a very fun movie to watch.Although the script is poor, the directing is very good.
In terms of biker movies though,it is one of the worst.Beyond The Law/Fixing The Shadow remains the best modern biker movie to this day, in my opnion.

How the hell is Scarface difficult to understand?!

LOL

Maybe some people have problems seeing Scarface without subtitles.

I agree though. Hell Ride is a good film. The acting is good, the characters good, the cheesy peyote visual effects. For me it all fitted together well. And I liked the ending. This film kept my attention and kept me entertained until the end. I got a bit scared the ending would turn out to be lame, but it was good. I had less problems with this film than with Machete. Though I feel I need to see that again for the mess it is and perhaps I might enjoy that more or better than Hell Ride, who knows. But for me Hell Ride just worked well. Good work, keep it up all involved in the making! We might need more films with this cast!!!! Bravo....

Yes, and for a good reason.

This is a terrible film; a trite and exploitive indulgence of super-ego by a talentless hack, Larry Bishop, couched as an “homage.” It has an 11 Rotten Tomatoes rating for a good reason.

No offence, Jason, ya seem like a nice enough fellow, but lemme guess...you’re probably all of about 14 years old or so, right?

I really thought the characters were great.

The ‘characters’ were caricatures; Larry Bishop’s sophomoric interpretation of what he perceives as badasses.

Honestly, they were all so corny to me (especially with that UNBELIVIABLY cheesy dialogue) that they seemed more like a 6th grade schoolboy’s ultra-violent sexual fantasy come to life.

I went out and bought it. Everyone seems to hate this Film and I just don't understand why?

Perhaps one day you will...let’s hope you so.

I do so hope you don’t grow up to be the kind of adult he relishes this kind of pabulum—that’s what keeps these greed merchants pumping out this kinda horse$hit.

Hey, a different stroke for different folks and all that, and not everybody likes the same thing, but bad is bad. And this was one of the most incredibly lame films I’ve EVER seen, and I’ve seen a lotta films believe me.

I'm 39 and I enjoyed the hell out of this movie.

Bully for you, and we're all thrilled--only thing is, your age was not the issue.

Its quite simply a poor piece of filmaking in my opinion. ESPECIALY(two Ls? One?) sorry.Larry Bishop needs to go back to his dayjob.

Its not a good movie, in fact its kind of the opposite of Tarantinos normal style. He doesnt usually shove the cool in your face. Its more subtle and he allows the feel, motif and style develop slowly, more naturally. The plot is meh but you could argue his movies are more about good scenes than a cohesive plot.
The trouble is this particular film doesnt have that either. It doesnt feel quite like all the other badassery movies I've seen, but its not very original or special.

A great way to kill two hours, sure, but its completely forgettable and shouldnt be counted as good entertainment.

Its also kind of a shame because almost everyone involved is actually a lot better than this, except for the idiot child from Six Feet Under. He can't act but for some reason people keep giving him work.

Oh, and my normal position on sex in film is it better be a porno or left out entirely. Its almost never directly related to the story and only serves to slow down either plot development or interesting, original scenes. Quentin was normally good about leaving out stuff that didnt matter, like establishing shots or sex scenes or over explanation of plot related matters.

Well, I liked it. It didn't make very much sense, but I expected to see some actors I like curse a lot & kill each other, & that's what I got! And I liked the music.

If I had to make a choice between Hell Ride, Beyond the Law and Stone.. I'd *beep* pick Stone any day of the week. It just seems like a good biker movie needs to have some believable badassery, and this movie felt forgetable in terms of plot, action, sex/nudity, and badassery. The only thing it does get right is the amount of swearing. Beyond the Law while that was a decent biker flick, Charlie Sheen was awfully distracting. Then theres the good kind of biker flick that gets all the elements together, the style, violence, the action and the swearing/sleaze like in Stone. In my mind, only a exploitation flick or something close to it makes a good biker flick.
