question;help

i heard good things about this movie and decided to watch it.

but what really put me off within the first 15 minutes was the "too-much" english diologues in what is meant to be a bollywood film.

is it worth to watch this movies, bearing the english diologues?is this movie that good?

can anyone who has seen this movie give me their advise?

reply

I do not see the reason of bollywood movies not using English...
If you see it in the context of the time of the heppening...and the people from different areas of india...its obvious that English was common language of use...

Ithink one should watch the movie with waht message it gives not just language...

Hey buddy, the movie is bilingual and the english dialogues are from the 3 main characters mostly. Mind those characters were from JNU, which seems quite practical why they use english languages. Just watch the whole movie. I'm sure you will love it.

@ malay_biswal

Its not JNU...its Delhi University. very specifically Hindu College.
For some one who has studied there, the boys hostel, library and the entire Rigde area is hard to forget :D

Regarding the original post....initially even i thought the language was a bit forced. But as people above have (rightly said)...consider the context...1060s...these are the 'elite'...and from different regions. things that bind them are few.

But a great movie!
