I love Michael Jackson and this movie did not show him positively

I really think they should've not made this. The movie looked very bad. If they were going to make a Michael Jackson movie it should've came out in theaters and looked as good as The Jacksons an american dream did. Seriously the son on NIp/Tuck looks like Michael Jackson and I think they should've used him. Michael Jackson didn't moleste anyone so they should just leave that part out because I do not like it. Flex is a good actor but playing Michael Jackson was just not the part for him.

i thought the same thing. plus, its kinda difficult to make michael jackson look good these days...especially after seeing him try to weasel his way out of questions to try to make himself look good on that "living with michael jackson" interview. sorry, i wouldnt let my kids sleep in the same room as him.

reply

yeah i dont think that flex was a very believable michael. it looked like he was making fun of him. i didnt think he was that good at all.

Ivy, do your very best not to scream...

why should they have left out the molestion? It doesn't matter if he did it or not its still a part of his past and a part of his life. He went through it and the movie was a look into his life, so I think they should add all parts of his life.

reply

Movie had no surprises and took no chances. Facts as portrayed are no more or less than what I remember seeing or reading about in media. None of which necessarily have anything to do with the truth.

Do you know that guy?
No. But he's a dick.

reply

Yes very true and how they focused more little on his skin deasie, I mean it touched base on it twice, It didnt say he would haft to bleach his skin white becuase of it, Plus from what I saw he looked more green at times thean white..

Their was some factual errors on their to,
The lawsuit seddlement was for 15 million not 25

Why would they leave the molestation allegations out?
That comment was from a blindly devoted fan - someone who believes the demon lies of a pedophile. He's gonna fry this time. My only question is why the long delay before trial (beginnng 1/05).

God, it's not like the movie MADE him a pedophile--in fact, it didn't portray him as guilty OR innocent...it simply stated that he was accused of it and that there was a settlement. The movie danced around whether or not he was guilty.

Oh, and his trial is being delayed so we can finish watching Martha Stewart try to weasle out of HER trial...it might get confusing watching 2 different white women trying to pull their weight around the courtroom.

Hey, maybe they'll get a cell together...Mike can teach Martha to moonwalk, and she can teach him to make a birdfeeder out of a prison pillow case and the steele toilet...

Wherever I am, I find myself looking out the window, wanting to be somewhere else

I personally thought they tried to make it look non-biased, but in a way made it swing a bit towards him. In the one scene, he meets some people and then walks away and they say:

"That's Michael Jackson."

"Oohhh, he's so gentile!"

I half expected them to say "Now there's a man that would never molest anything!"

reply

I do not think that Michael Jackson is a pedophile. There are things wrong with him-- The man led a horribly stressful life under the spotlight and scrutiny of his father, he didn't have a childhood whatsoever (which led to his immature nature), and the comments made by him on the Bashir special about how his family used to ridicule his appearance are probably true, and what led to him being so obsessed with his face and his attempts to look 'white.' He did hold sleepovers and stuff with boys and girls, that is obvious. He hugged them like family or friends.

But did he try to molest them, or slip them a mickey in a can of Coke so he could have his way with them? No, I don't think so. He's got plenty of skeletons in his closet, but pedophile ain't one of them.

As for the trial, do you REALLY think 'he's gonna fry' when, for the past year, more things are being said to harm the family's credibility than Michael's? The revelations on the latter are that he's in debt and he contacts mystics for guidance. The former's motives became clear as day no more than 3 months after the allegations: Money, and lots of it.

Skin Color Changes

Michael admitted publicly that he had a disease that was causing the pigmentation of his skin to be destroyed. In many of his early photos you can see parts of his skin were miscolored and that there were streaks of dark makeup on his clothing and rubbed off onto his microphone as result of his attempts to cover up the white patches on his face. It was only when so much of his pigmentation was lost that he switched to lighter makeup. He also had to protect his skin from UV light so he didn't develop skin cancer and wore masks to avoid inhaling germs because vitiligo not only attacks skin pigment but also the immune system. At one point he was at deaths' door in hospital because he caught the flu.

If Michael rejected his black heritage he wouldn't have made such a huge statement in his music, his performances, and his public statements. Almost every actor in his music videos are black, he displays fighter spirit as a black man battling against white men in music videos such as You Rock My World, songs like Black or White carry strong statements against racists such as the KKK, and he was the voice for black people and black celebrities who were suffering from unfair treatment by white people. Michael also angrily rejected the statements that he was trying to get rid of his black heritage.

The Truth Behind the Allegations

The Arvizo family were caught out during the court proceedings because they couldn't stick to the same story, the mother was a psychiatric case, and it was revealed they had a history of lying and exaggerating events for money. They confessed to lying in court and thus got nothing.

Jordan Chandler confessed his father made him lie in court after his father committed suicide. It was later revealed that his father was attempting to extortion money from Michael by blackmailing him for the sum of $2 million in order to direct the movie Robin Hood: Men in Tights otherwise he'd take him to court for alleged child abuse. When Michael refused to pay up he went ahead with the proceedings and had his son administered a drug during a tooth operation to make him suggestible and immediately interrogated by dectectives. The boy was already denying any wrong doing by the hands of Michael and refusing to go to court against him so his father needed to implant false memories in order to create a case for investigation, and while Michael said that he paid up the $2 million ransom because he feared what would happen if the court believed the boys' testimony and wanted to put it all behind him and get on with his life the truth was the estate decided to pay up because they saw what it was doing to Michael and they went behind his back and closed the deal.

40 other children were investigated by detectives and only one of them stood up to say he got abused, but then he withdrew his testimony stating that the detectives lied to him saying they found pictures of him naked at the ranch and that Michael was currently abusing a child (Macauley Culkin) right now, so if he were to lie in court and get Michael behind bars it would save that child from being abused even further. He also said that the investigation was more like an aggressive interrogation in trying to get him to lie and admit being abused by Michael.

I thought it was pretty good.

"Michael Jackson didn't moleste anyone so they should just leave that part out because I do not like it. "

Just because his fans don't like it doesn't mean he wasn't arrested and questioned and trialed for it. It's the kind of thing that has to be included in a biopic.

i thought the movie worked very well, it showed him how he is. A good man who loves children, and who the media can't help but try to put down because he's SO huge. It's a pedestal kind of thing, it's the reason tabloids even exist. We hate to see anyone better than us, so we build them up then knock them down, like building block towers.

You last three posters are the kind of blindly devoted fans who would trust MJ with your children - to their peril and ruin. There is no such thing as Peter Pan. Aahm.. ever heard about people who are asexual? Michael Jackson is a good example of asexuality. You have to take into consideration that this man in many ways stopped developing as the age of twelve. Yes, he has been married to Lisa Marie Presley and she did say that they were sexually involved. He was very much in love with Brooke Shields and she was obviously in love with him as well so they must have slept with each other. He might not have slept with Madonna during their little thing, but he most certainly did sleep with Debbie Rowe (and concieved two children). However, I think Michael Jackson is one of the few people who are actually able to divide love and sex. A person doesn't start thinking about sex (and wanting it) until the age of thirteen. Michael Jackson still thinks as a twelve year old.. He only wants to love and be in love, he wants to have children and he wants to please his girlfriends. If not, he would never have had sex, I reckon. As regards the child abuse, the people who accuse Michael Jackson being guilty are the ones who are sick. It's the same thing as accusing Princess Diana of having raped Mother Theresa when the cameras were off or accusing President Mandela of being a racist. People just can't stand when a person is perfectly GOOD. Michael Jackson is completely and immaculately GOOD. He contains no evil.

reply

Heard of it. Believe it's extremely rare in it's pure form. I assume you're saying MJ is asexual. But then you to list his female lovers.

You have to take into consideration that this man in many ways stopped developing as the age of twelve.

That's true of all pedophiles.

Michael Jackson still thinks as a twelve year old

His penis thinks differently.

Watching the Bashir interview, I wanted to believe, as you do that MJ is is completely and immaculately good. It's a wonderful world he describes, filled with love and imagination and magic and wonder and fun. But it's a fairy tale. It's a lie. He's a liar and a good one. He has the talent and the skill to make people believe. In that way he is like Peter Pan.

Here's just one flagrant lie he told in that interview - that he had only two surgeries on his nose. I hate to sound like a lawyer, but the testimony of anyone caught lying once must be completed disregarded.

You make some valid points. And your loyalty and devotion to Michael Jackson is admirable (I'd want you as a friend defending me should I ever stray from the law!), but displaced. You try hard (too hard in my opinion, leaning towards bias) to explain his behavior citing a cause/personality that is so rare as to be vitrually unique. I'll admit that Jackson's talent is so rare as to be vitrually unique. But I wouldn't make the jump to extrapolate it to his sexuality. Not when another cause - pedophelia - is far more common and likely.

In the end, what convinced me of his guilt, was the testimony of two witnesses during the second trial. One was by a 24 year-old who said he was molested several times my Jackson when he was 13 and the other by Jackson's head of security who said he was an eye-witness to an act of felatio on a child. You can make a reasonable argument to discount the testimony of the main acuser(s) in that case citing a history of profit motives and false allegations, but I couldn't get past the testimony of the 24 year-old and the security head. They had no agendas or pending law-suits or profit motives making them credible.

Actually, I'm not really a fan. What makes you think I am? He's a good dancer, and a decent singer, but he's made alot of bad choices, and he's a bit touched in the head, and this film showed that.

This movie was dumb as nails. It had numerous cheesy lines. In that ludicrous squeaky voice Like "Get Bashir on the phone now" "OOo we named him blanket, to blanket our love for him." WHAT!?
How can anyone actually think this was a good movie. They didn't even use his songs because it was an unauthorized event, they didn't have rights to use his songs. So we see this kid dance around like a nutjub to some corny music and run off stage- in particular the MJ concert in Madison Square Garden that mysteriously occured during the morning of 9/11(which was a tuesday morn)....MJ "I want to remember this moment forever..what is the time?" MJ's body guard "its 9/11" ---next thing we see Mike in his hotel watching 9/11 events. Yeah right?
The actors portrayal of Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Ross and Janet Jackson and the rest was so ludicrous you had to laugh at the casting and say what were they thinking and why am I still watching this!
If anything it didn't make MJ look bad; it made all involved look ridiculous.

What the hell? That is a KEY factor in his life. They couldn't make a documentary on him and NOT mention it. And The Jacksons: An American Dream was horrible. It was even more inaccurate than this movie.

I am not a MJ fan and I do indeed believe he is a pedophile and a person in denial of the fact he needs serious help and not a bunch of yes men or yes relatives. If he were related to me and I even had the tinest suspicion of him sleeping with kids I'd call him on it and try to slap the black off him-oh too late for that.I don't care how rich you are children can't defend themselves and if parents hand them over lock them up too!No one can justify a grown man thinking it's okay to have sleepovers with kids and no other adults involved. The problem with Tito,Janet,LaToya Randy,Mama,Joe & Jermaine-til the
big fallout with the nation, haven't seen or heard from him since- is that I haven't heard any of them berate him for dangling that baby(Blanket sheesh!) over the balcony. The mother and LaToya tried to explain it away like this is normal for a parent to do.And YES! Steve the croc man was wrong too!Funny too that I haven't heard one Jackson grandchild come forth to say they enjoyed sleepovers with uncle Michael and it's not like this family is publicity shy or anything close to that. What a truly dysfuctional family at the highest level.Latoya kept screaming the family kidnapped her,she said Michael did molest children, she said Joe beat them then she tried to say the husband beat her and she never said those things but Geraldo called her on it and played the entire one hour show she appeared on with the comments and he told her she had called him to get on the show to say all those things. If she's lying on Michael then she's calling herself a liar too so which lie is the truth?Another poster bought up Brooke and Lisa.Well Brooke Sheilds came out and said Michael made up the story about them having sex and Tatum O'Neal made the very same statement when he claimed in a mag that she was the first girl to have sex with him and practically attacked him.He forgot she was 5 yrs younger and
jailbait at the time he claimed it happened. And both women made their denials recently ending the stories HE put out there. Now I'd like to hear from faces I never see defending him.I'm not sure but I can't recall Jackie saying anything but I know I haven't seen or heard from Marlon or Rebbie in the sea of Jackson siblings during this circus He HELPED create.Too many kids get raped, killed, snatched everyday.I will not defend even the tiniest bit of inappropriate behavoir!

We all pick our heroes for one reason or another, but Ilong ago dropped these flashy, hollywood, etc types for the REAL thing. The lady that was pulled out of school at a young age yet left her life savings from washing & ironing to a university so others would have the education she never got-MY HERO!

The victims from September 11th,because they truly are-MY HEROES!

Okay, I'm a fan of Michael's, but I'm going to try to look at this movie objectively..

First of all: I don't like the cast. Flex Alexander was okay (just..), but caracters as fx. Elizabeth Taylor (looking as a trans.. Sorry..) and stuff were just horrible.

The good about the movie:
It pictures Michael as a human beeing.
It pictures the pedophile-cases, but doesn't judge him as beeing it or not. This is a very big part of MJ's life, so it would definantly be wrong to edit it out.
It answers to a part of Michael's skincolour. It talks a bit about vitiligo, but if Michael did use bleeching-creme in order to hide it, it doesn't say.
Michael family-relationsship is pictured okay.. Both the good and the bad sites of it.

Bad things:
No MJ-music in it.. Big minus, 'cause that could definantly have saved some of the soundtrack.
Makes Michael look a bit weak. Actually sometimes insane! Michael is a very strong person (mentally), and comes out as a very down person all of the time.
Bad cutting and editing... I don't like the way the movie is set up.. Looks a bit wierd..

I'd give this movie 5/10, cause it really is a love/hate relationsship, as I'm a MJ-fan..
