EXCELLENT: and here's why

I just wanted to say that i get the bad reviews some people give to this movie, but i actually connected with the character and the story.
I suffer from depression since i was 10 years old and got to the suicide point several times.
It's not a movie for everyone, I had to admit; but the way she expresses the fact of not being comfortable in her own body and mind got me. I feel very related to this, it's actually pretty good for psychologists: i don't want to explain the disease complexity: depressive people tend to fall in love with their own depression and sometimes death seems to be the only way out.

Excellent movie: not for everyone, but EXCELLENT.

Incidentally, I am a psychologist and what the character of Nancy portrays is beyond depression. In my clinical opinion, it appears that she suffers from borderline personality disorder. I didn't think it was an excellent movie but I thought it was a decent story about how victims of childhood sexual abuse cope with their experience.

Wow,since you're a psychologist you'd be the person who may be able to answer a question or two I have. I have not seen this movie. I started to watch it but I couldn't. I have been in combat and have seen people killed and also have taken lives myself. But knowing the real life story behind this film (Sharon Lopatka)I cannot watch. I cannot understand how someone would willingly want to be tortured to death in a sexual context. I cannot watch Grim Love either. May be you can help me understand why? lol
