If you like Driessen, gotta tell you a story.
About five years ago, my daughter and I went to see a festival of short animation in Taipei, Taiwan. They showed a new (at the time) short by Driessen, "The Boy Who Saw the Iceberg".
I'm telling you, we were (pleasantly) horrified. Nobody can conceive and capture the horror of living death like Driessen. We watched as he effectively portrayed the descent of an innocent living soul into an irresolvable stalemate existential limbo. You have to see it to believe it!
Anyway: I know this is a little off-topic. Except to point out that Driessen's a long-time player in the conceptual animated short game, and it's certainly fair game to suggest that he has probably positively influenced lots and lots of bigger-name film people who are working today.
