Families who don't watch TV

So there are some families who do not have TVs either because they think TVs are evil, rot their children's brains, are the bain of society, whatever. Thing is, if the family really feels that way, then why do they go on a TV show? Is TV okay for everyone else but them?

reply

Don't they get money for going on here anyway?

The OP has a good point, and how would they even know about the show?????

I agree! I also feel that way about some celebs who say they don't let their kids watch TV. I mean seriously you can work on TV but your kids can't watch TV? Plus how would you find out about a reality show if you never watch TV. While I agree that too much TV isn't good but I think it's okay to watch some and just limit the time per day, week or whatever.

My aunt and uncle in law raised their twin girls without TV. They watch movies but spend their time mostly being outdoors (they live in Oregon), swimming, lifeguarding, hiking, and being with their friends. I like it. I know I won't be having a TV with my kids.

reply

Er... that had almost nothing do to with the OP. Your aunt and uncle didn't put their twin girls on TV.

At the end of the episode it says "if you OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW is interested in being on Wife Swap..." So other people probably submitted them or told them "hey you'd be good on this show."
