Does anybody else remember the family who thought the world was going to end in 2012, so purposely financed everything because they didn't think they'd ever have to pay it all back?

They wouldn't let their kids friends come over because they did not want said kids to take inventory of what the couple had and tell their parents. Mind you these kids were 8. Then again I heard the CIA trains them early.
This is why people make fun of country bumpkins. I wouldn't be suprised if they were cousins.

THis is what I don't understand. They are not saying that the world will end, just the world as we know it. So how are they going to power those big electronic applicances and TV's they had just bought if no one else is around.
It reminds me of this weird book I read when I was growing up. It's about this town where this disease kills off all the adults and the children are left to fend for themselves.

I just saw this episode again, I forgot how insane the 2012 crazed wife is! She looks like an even bigger fool than she did then, which is impressive in its own right. I especially liked her 'well he's laughing at me now...but...i'll have the last laugh come 2012.'
Oh yeah? How that's working for you now champ? They're thousands of dollars in debt and the laughing stock of the town i'd assume. But what can you really expect from someone who says 'camatyslic' for cataclysmic and 'dramastic' for dramatic. She was straight up an ignorant buffoon, and now the whole world knows it...classic. She was also a hypocrite who wouldn't live by the other wife's rules (not giving up the survival pack for example), but then yelled at the husband to shut up and live by her rules. What a tool.

I've never fooled anyone. I've let people fool themselves.
This episode was filmed in the city I live in. I remember grocery shopping and they were filming at the store. I wasn't allowed to grab soy sauce because the family was in that aisle. They were all dressed in camo and it looked like the crazy doomsday wife was making them stock up on Spam. The kids looked understandably mortified!
