The Rasta Family

Just saw the episode of the family that lived the rastafari lifestyle. It really bothered me what they said about their 5-year-old daughter "of course, she doesn't read. She's five!" WTF? 5-year-olds should be reading, Dummy!

That Rasta poseur was annoying. He had no ammo for his rants, he just kept repeating the same crap...

Oo that guy was sooo stupid. I liked the Rasta wife. But the dude kept saying Jaaaaa, I believe in Jaaaa and his replacement wife kept saying its job, you must get a job!

I respect the Rasta man's beliefs but he didn't walk the walk. He preached love but he was defensive and insecure when anyone questioned him on anything. VERY immature. He was incapable of recognizing his own hypocrisy. Of the two husbands, he was far more controlling.

The Rasta woman was very effective. She was able to implement change while being loving and respectful.

It seemed that he was using the Rasta philosophy as a means to get out of being a responsible adult.
Having a job doesn't mean he had to be stuck in an office, he could have done anything!

um you don't work with early childhood children, do you... children read and learn at their own pace.

if you think your 3 year old reads mc donalds she recognizes the golden arches.

and really... reading equals understanding what you read. if you can't tell what the sentence said or what is going on on the page, you are not reading. srsly, some day care directors don't realize this.

Oh God. Fortune vomits on my eiderdown once more.
