What kind of worm did the doctor find? 'In Bloom'

I'm curious to know what kind of worm the young doctor found in episode "In Bloom", where the teenage girls suffered from pesticide being on their jeans. It was a very early episode (second, maybe). I found it very interesting that the teenager would buy a tablet from someone to lose weight and have it turn out to be a worm. I wish I had seen that episode more than once. If anyone could shed some light, I would appreciate it.

the worm was the reason she lost weight, because it ate everything in her stomach and intestines, thats how it worked...

Given it's 7 years later, I doubt you'll even see this reply, but....I was rewatching the episodes because I was bored (extremely bored....and confused as to how I thought this was a really good show when I was 14).

Anyway, they don't actually specifically say what type of worm the parasite was that was in the pill. Most intestinal parasites (and there's a quite a few different kinds, most being different species of roundworms and tapeworms) have the possibility to cause weight loss, since they're consuming the nutrients the host ingests.

However, they treated her with Praziquantel, which is commonly used to treat tapeworm infections, so my guess would be the pill contained an L3 (larval stage) of a human tapeworm. I don't know what specific tapeworm it would be, however, because there are quite a few different species of tapeworms, and the vast majority of the ones I have learned about are animal parasites, since I'm studying veterinary medicine, not human medicine.
